Swing Sets
Posted on 09.20.13 by thisweekon @

Time to start looking for those swing sets for the kids for the upcoming Spring and Summer months. Best Price Toys have a great selection as well as a great site that is very user friendly. And they have great descriptions as well as pictures so that you can see what you will be getting. I think that every child that has a backyard should have a nice swing set in it to play with and go outside to have fun and get some exercise.

Freckle Box – A Fabulous Gift!!!
Posted on 02.27.13 by thisweekon @

My daughter, who is 3, is just so excited to see her name in a book spelled correctly and to see it in the book many times in different forms. I can not wait to order one for my other daughter, who is 8, because she is very jealous now that one has her own book and the other one does not!

This would make for a fabulous gift to…especially for a new baby. I love to get baby’s books and I just found out that my sister in law is pregnant so this is what I am getting for her when she picks a name. It makes for a great gift because kids love to hear their names when you are reading a book to them. And I personally just love to get personalized books for kids.

Your Events
Posted on 12.12.12 by thisweekon @

I think that outdoor lighting is so important whether it is for a business or just for a home. It is nice to have that extra light out there in during the night time hours. And I personally like the ones that are on times and sensors. I don’t like to drive into a dark drivway but if there is a sensor it will automatically turn on. And it is always a great idea to get special outdoor lighting for those special events. My sister in law got married in the evening and it was an outdoor even and there were lights everywhere. It was actually quite nice. Her uncle could not go because he was in the hospital and I wish that I would have known about the live event video streaming that is out there. He could have seen her wedding and reception as it was happening even though he could not attend it!

Change
Posted on 08.06.12 by thisweekon @

I hate my cable company. They have very limited stations and the station that they do have are just completely awful and for the price that you pay it is just not worth it in my opinion. And my cable company stinks. There was once month where I had 5 outages that lasted for a day and had I not called they would not have credited my account those 5 days…that is just wrong.

Yup..I think that change is much needed. Anyway that I can save a few dollars a month is best and this way I will. And my neighbor has satellite tv and she just loves it an the reception is great. That was my one concern but not anymore after talking to her.

Wii Games and Your Health
Posted on 03.28.11 by thisweekon @

If you do not already have a Wii…you just do not know what you are missing. It is great fun for the entire family to enjoy. And they have a great selection of wii games out there for all ages. I was dancing the other day with my kids – so for me and for many it is not only a great way to spend time with the family and have lots of fun but also a great way to exercise and get moving! Some Wii games are actually good for your health!

Cigars
Posted on 01.19.11 by thisweekon @

When I think of cigars I think of either my uncle because he is always smoking that cigar or I think of Seinfeld. It is really funny how you can relate everything that happens to you in life to the show Seinfeld. And people know it even if they never saw it on their Thursday night time slot. It is sort of like the Brady Bunch – I grew up on all the reruns that is for sure! But that episode with the cigars was a very funny one.

Music of the Heart
Posted on 01.15.10 by thisweekon @

The music of the 60’s was great. There were alot of songs written about cars. Remember the little Nash rambler song that was stuck in 2nd gear. There were songs written about GTO’s, Lincolns, you name it. We young people really did enjoy these songs, as well as our cars, even though most of the time our cars were quite junky, at least in my town.
What do we have now? Songs about racial tension, putting down women, violence, blood shed. What happened? Are we, as a group, some way responsible for this kind of thinking. What has gone wrong, what has gone right? We wanted so much for our children, more than we had, but we had it all. Maybe it isn’t what we gave them. Maybe it is what we didn’t. Let’s do better with our precious grandchildren, if we can.

Bed Time
Posted on 12.02.09 by thisweekon @

It is a great idea to watch those holiday shows with your kids but on a regular day it is a great idea to make sure that you have a set bed time for you children. They need the consistancy and it really does help to keep them in good health. If children do not get enough sleep it can really do a number on their immune systems.

Jeep Accessories
Posted on 11.20.09 by thisweekon @

People who like to fix up their cars like to get the accessories that are going to match their cars make, year and model. So, if you have that great looking jeep of if you are fixing up an older jeep then you are going to want to get those jeep accessories that are going to match what you already have. My dad loves to fix up cars…it takes him quite a while to fix them up but it is worth it in the end. He use to do it for a living way back in his early 20’s but back them it was not much of a profitable career so he just does it as a hobby.

Good Reads
Posted on 10.21.09 by thisweekon @

There are so many great books out there for people but there are very few out there for children that love to read. I mean not the harry potters or the twilights because some kids really don’t want to read that … I know that when I was young I would have had no interest in those types of books. There should be a site out there that is solely devoted to rating children books and that is all. There probably is but I can’t find it.

Have A Cup Of Tea!
Posted on 10.05.09 by thisweekon @

So, we had a birthday party that was an Tea Cup Themed birthday party – it was very cute and the kids had a great time. My in laws rent a bouncy house for the kids once a year and they just have such a great time. They must have been in it for a total of 2 hours yesterday…so they definately got their money’s worth this year that is for sure. And the weather was finally nice too!

Pond Pumps
Posted on 09.16.09 by thisweekon @

pw_banner.jpg

I think a pond in a yard is just so pretty. My aunt and uncle always had a pond with pond pumps in their yard and my good friend has a small one as well. They would get fish every year and put them in the ponds. It was really nice and I just like the sound of water. My uncle is a landscaper so he made it so there was a little waterfall so not only did it sound lovely but it really was quite the conversation piece when he would have picnics over his house. And they are really not all that hard to make and install yourself…save yourself a lot of money doing thiings like this yourself!

Fishing Guide
Posted on 07.11.09 by thisweekon @

I personally have always wanted to go fishing. I find that it is relaxing and it is just a past time that I would have like to have learned how to do. And not that I would be entering any competitions but to just sit on a lake in a boat trying to catch a fish seems to be a very nice and fun afternoon. My husband does not think so as well as the rest of my family. I am the only one that had this appeal and desire to go fishing. And you can find great washington fishing guides and oregon fishing guides right online if you are looking for that great fishing trip. Why not just do it right too…get that washington fishing guide or oregon fishing guide so that you will actually know what you are doing. I know that I would absolutely need someone to guide me through the entired fishing process but that is what they are there for. To help people that really have no clue in what they are doing. And it is a great way to spend time with the family in my opinion.

Play Piano
Posted on 07.09.09 by thisweekon @

img-2.jpg

If you have ever wanted to play piano then you may just be in luck. It is never too late to learn how to play a musical instrument. Sure, things are easier to pick up and learn when you are younger but there is no reason why you can not learn this later in life. It is just a matter of being able to find the time to actually learn it. But once you do you will feel that sense of accomplishment and you will be able to enjoy and play those songs that you have always wanted to play!

If you like to buy Amazon books did you know that you can get them at buy.com for a great price. I personally love to read that good book. I am one that does not like to read all that much but when I get that great book I just can not put it down until it is competely done! I have read 500 page books in one day just because I liked them so much and had to read it until I found out everything and finished the book. And you can get all the lastest books here too!

Rubber Stamp
Posted on 03.12.09 by thisweekon @

I love the rubber stamp… it just makes things so much easier when you are mailing things out or filling out forms. If you work in an office or a school these are something that you just need because they really can speed up things and mundane tasks that you have to do. And then there are the fun stamps that you can get for your kids too. What is cool is the invisible ink stamps. They are just really neat especially if you want sometime confidential to be sent. You can’t see it and it only stays for around 16 hours…so cool!

Nice Ferrari
Posted on 02.23.09 by thisweekon @

home_bigpic3.jpg

I know someone that has a Ferrari…now….I am not one for cars but I do have to admit that it is quite impressive. They have a yellow one though and that isn’t the color I would choose but it is still very impressive. They have a lot of money so getting a car like this is nothing…I wish this person was a closer friend 🙂 The thing is that if something goes wrong with the car where to you go to get the Ferrari parts? The internet is awesome for stuff like this. You can find everything and anything on the internet that you may need. And if you have a car like this then you are obviously going to want the authentic and correct parts that go with it.

New Books
Posted on 01.21.09 by thisweekon @

I just love getting new books…I don’t always have the time to read them though. There are just so many great books out there too but I am not one to spend a fortune on a book since once you read it that is pretty much it. You just have to know where to look and where to buy the best books out there. And personally I just love to buy things online. If find that you get the best selection at the best prices and you don’t even have to waste your time driving to the bookstore!

My Space or Facebook
Posted on 01.15.09 by thisweekon @

What do you prefer. I like the MySpace layout so much better in my opinion. The facebook is ok and it seems as though there are more people on this site but it is just so cluttered with junk and nonsense. I don’t need to know what people are doing every second of the day and because there is so much junk like that and the invitations for stupid things and throwing snowballs and all that nonsense you miss out on something that really was worth reading.

True Beauty
Posted on 01.12.09 by thisweekon @

Oh – I can not wait to watch this show again tonight. I laughed so hard last week watching this show. And the thing is that these people are not all that good looking. That blond is just not good looking especially with all that makeup – it is horrible. And I don’t like any of the guys – they are all just ok. Maybe because they are just such jerks that make them less attractive!

Going Out On Dates
Posted on 01.11.09 by thisweekon @

I think that people that are married and especially if they are married with children then you should definately put time aside to spend with your spouse. You need that time to yourselves to spend quality time with each other. Having those date nights will really make your relationship stronger and it will make it last. Even just 2 times a month to go out for a quick coffee or something is nice.

Blackberry Plants
Posted on 01.11.09 by thisweekon @

I just love to garden. It is actually one of my relaxing and fun hobbies that I have in the summer. And I am always looking for great sites, and new plants to try to plant. I have my favorites but I would love to try soemthing like Blackberry plants. I love fruits and berries. I just have to make sure that the birds and the animals don’t get them first. I have a problem with berries like that. I have blueberries and I have to make sure that the birds can not get to it otherwise I will not have any of the berries!

Back To School
Posted on 01.05.09 by thisweekon @

So, everything is pretty much going back to the usual. The holidays are over…from Thanksgiving to Christmas pretty much things are just not normal and it is just a time of excitement and chaos. But January is here and from not til June will drag on because it is the slowest part of the year. I can not believe how fast it goes by from June to December…it is crazy!!

Carol of the Bells
Posted on 11.18.08 by thisweekon @

I just love the different versions of the song Carol of the bells. I think it is just such a pretty song…if it is done right. I love the transylvanian orchestra. There is something about their music that is very simple but very captivating. It gets your attention and it is flashy but it is nice to listen too. There is such nice orchestral music out there that is so nice to listen to…especially this time of year.

Do You Have A Pinewood Derby Trophy?
Posted on 11.17.08 by thisweekon @

DO you have a Pinewood derby trophies? Neither do I…but if I needed one I would sure know where to get them. Actually I did need to get trophies for the kids group that I had last year and I didn’t know where to get them. So I got some sort of ribbons that were really cheap and stupid looking. At least now and this year I know where I can get nice trophies that will not break the bank because I am on a strict and very tight budget…but I really needed trophies…the kids just love them!
